RE: School Calendar
I am writing to update everyone with the latest information on this school year's calendar. Due to the extraordinary nature of this past winter, our Board of Education will be taking advantage of the four additional calamity days that do not need to be made up, which were granted when Governor Kasich signed a bill into law last week. Therefore, this means that the last school day will be Wednesday, June 4, which was the original last day of school.
Furthermore, I want to remind everyone that Monday, April 21 will still be a mandatory school day for all students and staff.
To summarize, the calendar for the remainder of this school year will be:
Friday, April 18.............No School (Good Friday)
Monday, April 21..........Mandatory School Day
Monday, May 26............No School (Memorial Day)
Sunday, June 1..............Graduation (2:00 PM)
Wednesday, June 4.........Last Day of School for Students
Thursday, June 5............Teacher Work Day
If B-C-S School District is closed for any additional calamity days, these days must be made upbeginning on Thursday, June 5 and continuing in June Monday through Friday as needed. I am sure that we all hope that this will not be necessary.
Please contact your school and/or supervisor if you have any questions. All the best to everyone for a successful and safe end to this school year!
