Announcements for today:

Happy Birthday Wishes!

  • TNT after school programs will be starting up in September.  Forms are available in the office if your child is interested.
  • Oak Harbor Schools Family & Friends Fundraiser being offered to families at Kalahari on Friday, September 8th.  Information sheets are available in the office
  • Just FYI-starting in October, Marco ‘s Pizza Night for the middle school will be held the second Tuesday, every other month.  More announcements will be made as time draws near.
  • OHHS Fall Mini Cheer Clinic for 4th graders will be held on Saturday, 9/23 from 9-11 a.m. at the high school auxiliary gym.  Forms available in the office.
  • 2ND ANNUAL COLOR RUN SPONSORED BY MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL WILL BE HELD AFTER SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH! THIS IS OPEN TO THE ENTIRE BCS STUDENT BODY AND OAK HARBOR COMMUNITY!  COST IS $10.00 PER STUDENT AND $20.00 IF YOU WANT A T- PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCILWILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!

OHMS Sporting Events:

Cross Country:  CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM! THEY STARTED THEIR SEASON WITH A 2ND PLACE TROPHY AT THE EASTWOOD FLYING EAGLE INVITE. SCORING FOR THE ROCKETS WERE: LOGAN WAGNER (8TH), MADI ADAMS (8TH) RIPLEY ST. CLAIR (8TH), ASHLEY SCHILLER (7TH), AND MAGGIE PUCKETT (8TH).  AWESOME START TO THE SEASON!  THE ROCKET BOYS ENDED UP 5TH OUT OF 11 TEAMS.  SCORING FOR THE ROCKETS:  CAM BLOOMER (8TH) WHO TURNED IN A PERSONAL RECORD), ELIJAH IBARRA (8TH), DANNY TACK (7TH), JOHN ASTON (8TH), AND LUKAS LIESKE (7TH).  CONGRATULATIONS!  NEXT FOR THE ROCKET CROSS COUNTRY TEAM IS TIFFIN CARNIVAL NEXT SATURDAY (SEPTEMBER 9TH)

Volleyball:  Tuesday, September 5th at Vermilion beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Football:  No 7th grade football game this week (8th Grade only) on Thurs.,9/7 against Lakota.

Academic Challenge for 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade Students:  If your child is interested, tryouts will be held next Tuesday, September 5th from 3-4 p.m.  See Mrs. Saunders in room 18 for tryout information.

Oak Harbor Middle School and High School are teaming up to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.  We have a large box located by the showcase where students can place monetary donations.   All donations will go to the American Red Cross!

LIFE TOUCH SCHOOL PICTURE DAY WILL BE ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST.  FORMS WILL BE COMING HOME THIS NEXT WEEK.   PLEASE BRING THE FORM BACK WITH SELECTIONS MADE AND MONEY ENCLOSED THE DAY OF PICTURES (9/21).  THANK YOU!
