Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Thursday, October 5, 2017
Today is “National Do Something Nice Day.” It’s a perfect day to do something nice for someone else!
While we don’t have any birthdays, October 5 has been a great day in history. On this day in 1970 PBS, the “Public Broadcasting Service” became a US television network. This was the channel that many of us enjoyed as children! Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow and The Electric Company just to name a few. Ah, the memories!
Volleyball is a fun sport and a way to make new friends all while exercising at the same time. The volleyball clinics at the high school will be a great start if you have not tried volleyball before. If you need another registration form just ask in the office. The volleyball camps are Saturday morning at the HS.
The coloring contest entries are due today to the office. Make sure to send them in this morning, please. I am so impressed with the coloring of our students!
The Fremont Rec Center has two really “cool” programs coming up on the ice. For those beginner ice skaters there is a “Learn to Skate” class and for those interested in ice hockey there is a “Future Stars Hockey” program. We have fliers in the office if you are interested.
Today our 3rd graders will meet with local government officials. What a great opportunity you have in front of you. Represent RCW well!
As we begin another beautiful day here at RCW, I will remind you to always be:
Here’s an idea of kindness to start your day...play with someone at recess that you have not played with in a while or ever. Make a new friend today!
Now I will ask you to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and say the Pledge of Allegiance with today’s leader.
