Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Friday, March 9, 2018

Happy “Crochet Week.”  Throughout out the winter I have seen some beautiful scarves, hats, ear-covers and vests.  One of our favorite substitute teachers, Mrs. Peters, is very talented in crochet. She makes amazing things with yarn and her hook.  Someday ask her to show you some of her work and make sure to wish her a Happy Crochet Week!

Today is a Rocket Pride Friday.  Rocket Pride is trying new things and enjoying the adventure.   This week is Ohio 4H Week and it’s a great time to look into the fun that 4H can bring to you.  4H teaches many of the same values that are involved with Rocket Pride - responsibility, dedication, honesty and hard work.  4H is a chance to try something new - this year my family is raising goats, a guinea pig and a hamster. I say “my family” because 4H is a family event and helps bring everyone together when we work with our projects.  Here’s to the AMAZING experience 4H provides and the best parts of Rocket Pride!  GO ROCKETS!

PBIS Expectation of the Week:  Use Good Manners”

Using good manners during a restroom break is not just important, it is the MOST important.  The restroom is a busy place and using good manners is a must. Leaving a mess behind, perhaps by dropping paper towel on the ground or smearing soap on the sink, is not polite or respectful.  Instead, consider the feelings of those who will have to clean up your mess and instead keep the bathrooms clean and tidy. Leave trash in the trash can and keep toilet paper off the floor. Using our good manners is important every day, all day.

Looking forward to next week...Coming up this Sunday is a Sunday Fun Open Swim.  The swimming pool and racquet ball courts at the High School will be open on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm.  Students must bring an adult with them. Come out and have some fun! We have a Marco’s Pizza Night on Tuesday evening.  The Literacy Committee will meet next Wednesday. Our school Blood Drive will take place on Thursdsay from 12-6 and Mrs. Lutz’s classroom will share in a “Learn With Me Day” next Friday.  So much fun awaits us!

Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join our announcements leader, in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble”
