Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Friday, April 6, 2018

Today is “National Kids Yoga Day.”  Have you ever tried yoga?  I have not but I really want to.  In Bowling Green there is a place to do yoga with goats - how fun would that be?

PBIS Expectation of the Week:  “Respect Other’s Space & Belongings

While eating lunch, you can show respect to others by not touching their lunch.  Their food is their food and your’s belongs to you. Lunch is an important time and the more respect we show to others, the better our time will be spent.

Looking forward to next week...it’s National Library Week!  The Tech Committee will gather next Wednesday after school.  Mrs. Mussell’s class will share in a “Learn with Me” Day on Thursday afternoon.  There is always more to pop-up too!

Today is a Rocket Pride Friday.  Each year, usually in the Spring, I like to share some Oak Harbor are history to tie-in to our Rocket Pride Fridays.  This past Christmas I was very excited to receive a book about the History of Ottawa County and I read quite a bit over Spring Break.   Did you know that Oak Harbor was once called “Hartford?” That’s right, we could have been the “Hartford Rockets!” Thanks to Mr. Adolphus Kramer the future village was named “Oak Harbor.”  GO ROCKETS!

Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join our announcements leader in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble” and finish up with the Fight Song.
