Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Friday, October 12, 2018
It’s the last day of our Boxtop Collection! Thank you to everyone who brought Boxtops in and to our TIE parents who counted and posted the results for us to see. Way to go RCW!
Our 1st grade friends will travel to Croghan Colonial Bank at 11:00 today for a special book presentation and lunch. Enjoy your time today and remember to be respectful, responsible and ready!
Attention All Rocket Fans - The Girls and Boys Soccer teams each have a key SBC battle this Saturday at the Oak Harbor Soccer complex when they Host the Huron Tigers. We would love to get as many fans out to the games as possible. Any Oak Harbor student that brings a pair of shoes to donate to the “Wreaths Across America” program will get in free to the games. The girls game will start at 9:00am with the boys game to follow. Come out to cheer the Rockets to victory.
Congratulations to the new Apple Festival Royalty Court! Here at RCW we are fortunate to have 3 members of the court with us. Congratulations!
Looking ahead to next week..we do not have school on Monday so that our staff members can have a day of learning, growing and leading. Next week is National School Lunch Week! On Tuesday when we return to school Mrs. Lattimore’s class will have a “Learn with Me Day” and there will be a BLT meeting after school. On Wednesday Miss Schlett’s class will have a “Learn with Me Day.” Thursday is an IAT meeting day. Next Friday is busy! We have more IAT meetings, fall pictures retakes, Mrs. Brough’s class will have a “Learn with Me Day” and it’s Yankee Candle fundraiser order pickup day. Don’t worry, if you cannot pick up your orders on Friday our TIE parents will be here Saturday morning too. What a great week we have ahead of us!
Happy “Rocket Pride” Friday! It’s Apple Festival Weekend! It is important to show our Rocket Pride every day and especially when our community is in the spotlight. I love this weekend and want us all to have a great time. Please remember to stay with your loved ones - the crowds are quite large and you should always walk with someone, never alone. When watching the parade, please stay seated and wait for the candy to roll near you. Do not go out in the street to get the candy. Finally, let’s make sure to get rid of any trash that we have in the right way and avoid littering. Keeping the streets clean for our visitors is very important. Keeping these ideas in mind will help us to show our Rocket Pride! Here’s to a great weekend at the 40th annual Oak Harbor Apple Festival!
Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join our announcements leader in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble” and finish up with the Fight Song.
Today, what are we going to be?
What are we going to be?
What are we going to be?
Who are we?
We are the Rockets!
Let’s have an INCREDIBLE day here at R.C. Waters!
