WEDNESDAY

Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Wednesday, August 28, 2019

On August 28 in 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. shared his very important speech titled “I Have a Dream” with 200,000 people from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.  He spoke for just seven minutes but his legacy has lasted for many, many years. Dr. King hoped for everyone to have the same opportunities, no matter what color their skin is, where they live or how much money they may or may not have.

Today is “Yellow Day” in our celebration of colors.  Yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, and loyalty.  When we draw a picture of sunshine it’s always yellow and smiling!  Yellow is the most luminous of all the colors of the spectrum. Which means it’s the color that captures our attention more than any other color.  Happy Yellow Day RCW! Tomorrow is green!

BIRTHDAYS

Today for lunch those who buy will enjoy popcorn chicken, corn and madarian oranges.  Sounds delicious!
