Good morning R.C. Waters!
Today is Tuesday, May 5, 2015
Our 3rd grade friends will take the PARCC math test today. Good luck, take your time and do your best!
Today is National Teacher Day. Teachers give us so much. And though we know we can’t ever thank them enough, we can take a moment during National Teacher Week to share our appreciation for the special educators in our lives.
Thank you to all of our teachers!!
It’s Healthy Tip Tuesday!
This week is staff appreciation week and we are showing how grateful we are to have so many wonderful people in our lives, especially here at school. On a healthy tip, did you know that being grateful or thankful, can help you be healthier? It’s true! Grateful people take better care of themselves and are more likely to exercise, keep a healthy diet and see the doctor on a regular basis. Being grateful can help reduce stress and fight off illness. How can I live a grateful live you ask? Well, I have some ways to share with you...
Maintain a gratitude journal. Make notes on what you are grateful for in your life and the lives of others.
Create a list of benefits in your life and then ask yourself if you are showing your thankfulness for these people, places or things. Sometimes we just need a reminder.
Look at a tough situation with a different, more positive attitude. What is a healthy way to look at a problem?
Through these examples and many others we can maintain a healthy life of gratefulness. I am grateful for all of my friends here at R.C. Waters!
Staff Members, remember that the OHHS seniors will be serving us lunch tomorrow.
Make your day great R.C.Waters!
